Scholarships - The Awards Program
The Sigma Pi Educational Foundation accepts scholarship nominations from January 1st through June 1st each year. Individuals may apply for any scholarship they qualify for or they may be nominated by a third party (examples include: a chapter, an alumni club, an undergraduate or alumnus of the Fraternity, a chapter scholarship committee, or a faculty member).

The size of awards is dependent upon the interest accumulated from the scholarship fund during the prior fiscal year. The Sigma Pi Educational Foundation's fiscal year begins on July 1st and ends on June 30th. Scholarships awards can range in size from $250.00 to over $5,000.00.
The Sigma Pi Educational Foundation's Loans and Scholarships Committee will review applications on an annual basis and select the applicants best meeting the criteria for the awards. The committee will make its recommendations to the President of the Sigma Pi Educational Foundation whose decision will be final.
Recipients of scholarships and awards will be notified during the summer. All recipients are expected to submit a photograph of themselves prior to the release of their award. The picture may be utilized for Sigma Pi Fraternity publications and will not be returned. Scholarships and grants are not taxable income if used for tuition, books, or other directly related educational expenses.
