Harold Jacobsen Scholarship
Harold Jacobsen began his lifelong service to Sigma Pi Fraternity by serving as its Executive Secretary in 1927. He continued as an active Trustee of the Sigma Pi Educational Foundation until 1992. Harold Jacobsen's lifelong commitment to education and academics was acknowledged by the creation of this scholarship award. The Harold Jacobsen Scholarship recognizes the Sigma Pi brother most exemplifying academic excellence. Nominees must be a sophomore or junior at the time of application.
Curtis G. Shake Scholarship
Honorary Grand Sage Curtis G. Shake was the Fraternity's first Grand Fourth Counselor and began the fraternity's endowment fund. As an attorney, judge, internationally-recognized legal authority, Chief Justice of the Indiana Supreme Court, and a presiding Justice at the Nuremberg War Trials, Curtis G. Shake had an outstanding legal career. This scholarship award was established in 1972 to honor Curtis G. Shake's commitment to both the fraternity and the legal world. The scholarship is presented to a deserving first or second year law student.
Lyle H. Smith Scholarship
In 1983, the Sigma Pi Educational Foundation created the Lyle H. Smith scholarship award to memorialize the contributions of the Past Grand Sage. To assist brothers in Brother Smith's industry, a student showing excellence in Hotel and Food Management or a related area shall receive this scholarship award.
